My Story

Hi, I'm Ruby!

Growing up in Montclair, NJ, one was more likely to find me painting in the art room than playing kickball on the baseball diamond. I was always more artistic than athletic; not flexible enough for gymnastics, not quick enough for field hockey... the belief that I wasn’t meant to move hardened in my mind. It's amazing the stories we can create for ourselves and then take them as fact, huh?

Luckily, a curiosity about yoga in 2012 changed the very trajectory of my life. Yoga led me to India, India led me to Los Angeles, & Los Angeles led me to create a whole new story around movement.

Yoga was the catalyst that brought me out of the depths of some very negative stories, and although my focus has since shifted away from yoga, I feel I owe my life to that practice.

Once healed and able to acknowledge the incredible benefits I’d received by connecting to my body, I thought, “I want to help others in the way that my teachers have helped me. I want to teach people the power of movement ”. 

Working with open-minded individuals who love their bodies, value their health, and want to make the most out of their time on this planet is an extension of this idea. 

My approach to fitness is holistic. There is no one size fits all. Your physical state is less about your current flexibility or strength, and more about how you feel in your body. Through movement, we can improve focus and memory, reduce stress, and boost confidence. Through movement, we can find ourselves again, and my goal in life is to help you do just that! 

With over a thousand hours of training, I serve those looking to recover from injury, to maintain healthy weight, to increase muscle mass, to gain greater mobility, to shift their mindset... to feel alive and confident in their body.  

No matter your goals, we'll develop a plan to reach them. By creating a comprehensive program utilizing the tools of yoga, Pilates, strength training and conditioning, nutritional education, habit formation, & accountability, you'll not only reach your goals, but surpass them!
